PRP Injections

PRP Injections
in Gilbert, AZ

If you’ve tried rest, PT, or other conservative care and symptoms keep coming back, PRP injections may be an option to support your body’s natural healing response in certain chronic foot and ankle conditions.

What is PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) uses a concentration of your own platelets—cells that contain growth factors and signed in the healing process. PRP is prepared in-office from a small blood draw and then injected precisely into the area being treated (often with ultrasound guidance).

Common foot & ankle conditions we may treat with PRP

  • Plantar fasciitis (acute or chronic)
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Peroneal or posterior tibial tendon pain
  • Chronic ligament injuries / ankle instability (select cases)
  • Degenerative joint pain (select cases)

Not every condition is a candidate. Some problems respond better to other options (targeted rehab, orthotics, PRP, shockwave, or surgery when indicated).

What to expect (30–45 minutes)

  1. Blood draw in the office
  2. Centrifuge processing to concentrate platelets
  3. Targeted injection into the injured tissue (often ultrasound-guided)
  4. Post-procedure plan: activity modification + a structured rehab approach

Important considerations

PRP is not a quick fix—improvement is typically gradual over weeks to months. Mild post-injection soreness is common, and outcomes depend on the condition being treated and your individualized care plan.

Cost & Insurance

PRP is often considered elective and may not be covered by insurance. We’ll review pricing, package options, and aftercare before treatment.
